India is changing and changes are for the better. An interesting event was told to me by another Indian. As per notice by MCD (Municipal corporation of Delhi) new construction was not to be allowed in a particular area and old construction was to be regularized. A smart fellow constructed a new building overnight and gave it an old look. So what did MCD do? Well, they used Google maps to show that plot was vacant six months back. Is this story true? I believed it because it gave me good feeling that at last culprit cannot hide their misdeeds
A good example of MCD using technology to its advantage .
India is changing and I love it.

Plight of an indian Family
This is my first post. The event which compelled me to write was happened in a train on 26th January ,2009 . I was coming from Ludhiana to Delhi in the second class of a super fast train. Getting into the train was difficult as there was unusual rush on that day. Inside the train, there were more people standing than sitting on the reserved seats. With little yelling, i could get my allotted seat. However reaching to the seat was difficult with the luggage i was carrying. No sooner the train moved, some people started jumping from the train probably because of rush or they may have come to see off their relatives right inside the train. After few seconds , a verbal fight broke out behind my seat. A lady, around 60 years of age refused to vacate the seat to its rightful owner, a 75 year old man. Well, the man was with three more family members, his middle aged daughter in law, and two grand children, a boy of 17 years age and a girl around 14 years of age. All of them requested and fought with the lady but the lady refused to budge. The fight advanced and the teenager boy roughly with senior citizen lady which was in bad taste. The old lady felt bad and started telling someone on phone regarding the incident. In process , when Ambala came, nobody knew that it was almost 2 hour journey from Ludhiana. It was entertainment for some ( for me it was entertainment plus i was sympathetic towards the family). A lot of persons tried in vain to convince the lady. At Ambala, suddenly three four police men appeared and aged lady told that she was beaten by family members very badly. I was aghast at the accusation leveled by the lady at the family by deceitful Lady. Police asked the family to come down from train. Family members pleaded that they have to go to Delhi and the policeman assured that the train will halt . But after few minutes, train started. the old Man was prevented by police man to catch the train.the daughter in law requested everybody to pull the Chain to stop the train. guess what! Chains did not work. What should she do now. Everybody in the train seems concerned. she revealed that she herself is a police officer posted in Delhi. I was surprised that why she did not reveal it early. So she used her contacts to get her father of the hook from police and made him catch the train which was coming after this train. She also told that old lady has complained to the police that young boy has molested her. another grave and false accusation! apparently it appeared that the old lady has someone related in the police. many questions came to my mind
Who is responsible for this incident.
how can we avoid such incidents as it can happen to any of us
can we make India better
Who is responsible for this incident.
- is it Railways. why did they let unauthorized persons enter the reserved compartment
- is it the Lady. why cannot she vacate the seat when asked
- is it the boy and family members . they could have been polite and adjusting for the old lady
- is it daughter in law. instead of fighting she could have earlier revealed that she is a police officer and matter would not have gone out of hand
how can we avoid such incidents as it can happen to any of us
can we make India better
